Bane vs Batman

I did a digital painting of Bane yesterday and followed up with a quick sketch / WIP of Bane fighting Batman.

Tried a new technique tonight when it comes to building colours on top of one another. Pretty pleased with the overall outcome and will have to test it out some more in the future.

I did this fashion illustration of the 1950's model Dovima for my girlfriend on her up and coming birthday. The photo I referenced was taken by Richard Avedon. I also added my girlfriend's dog Chi who's attempting to draw the model.

Guys with Pencils

I had quite the pleasure to hang with friends of mine Andrew Murray, and Adam Hines for their latest episode of Guys with Pencils

Anywho, during the interview I mention a certain gouache painting in the making, and this just so happens to be the one I spoke of. Until tonight the sketches have only been on paper, so this is the first rough draft digitally. I'll probably change their sizes to proper scale tomorrow and polish off batman as well.

I've been watching a fair bit of Monty Python these days and it reminded me that without the amazing musician George Harrison, the very amusing / awesome-o Life of Brian probably wouldn't have been produced seeing George help fund the movie big time. This reminder resulted in me creating this drawing of George Harrison.

Chi

This is a sketch I did just now of my girlfriends dog named Chi. She's a big fan of her toy newspaper so I figured I'd do an old school looking portrait of her with that beloved news of hers.

First Viking Family to settle in L'Anse aux Meadows

Return of the Viking!

Many months ago leading back to this time last year, my 4th year film was going to be about a viking and a bothersome child. Anywhoooo, that never happened, but there's been a sticky note on my monitor of the original designs for the viking / child taunting me every day. Today being one of my days off this week, I decided to play around with the viking design in TVPaint and came up with the following image.
