Royal Winter Fair

Well my class umongst other 1 year animation students went to the "Royal Winter Fair" today and to say the least was a rather enjoyable experience if you could block out the rancid smells of cow dung and so forth. Here's a drawing of a sheep that I think looks like the KKK that I did today.

well the cast has finally made it's debut to the garbage can. and now for some life drawings i did in the hospital with my broken hand and my wrong hand (i could use 2 of the 5 fingers with my left hand)

These are a couple of designs I did last summer.. "The + Sum" was used as a poster to advertise for a local video premier, and ODC was supposed to be used on Crafty's CD album cover but things changed and never did end up getting used. He liked the design a lot and would have used it as the main logo but what odds (if you look at it for more then a second you'll notice it has a pac man theme to it). You can hear a couple of his beats on www.bottledbeats.com ( i tend to listen to the album when at life drawing, it does wonders ;) )

Old Ish...

I was lookin through photos and found a 10 min life drawing that I used in my animation portfolio as well as the 2nd view of my room at the time. When I get back Oakville in less then2 weeks I'm gonna post some of my other life drawings along with some other things I did for the portfolio including my character design.

Giraffe #2

So I said I wasn't doing any more character design and so far i've kept my word. I drew this picture a few weeks ago but i decided to color it tonight for something to do so here's another drawing of the giraffe due to his orrr her popularity.

SLAP!!! Ok so, my character designs are quite shitty soo I've stopped trying to design characters until classes start in september and I'm putting my efforts into life drawing I guess; although I haven't been drawing people going about their business, for now I'm just drawing hands and so far this is what I've got. I really don't like most of these drawings so feel free to tell me where I need improvement (it seems like I'm missing some important lines but I just don't see them yet). Oh these have all been posted in order as I had drawn them to show some signs of progression on my own part.

I'll probably add some color to these sketches tomorrow at some point in time.

Soo this is a page with doodles of a new character I've been working who will go by the name of Bruno; I can't seem to really get his face to look non flat so they're all poses from behind (minus one) and then there's a couple doodles i did of the head with new faces that has potential. Well the one in the top left corner for the time being has potential.

Throwin Giraffs in your face

Yup so I made up a baby-esque giraffe last night and decided i'd play around with it in photoshop afterwards in hopes that maybe certain people such as B won't bitch about my drawings being difficuly to pick out since I like using the color blue when I'm drawing.

this is just some dude i came up with the previous night, he actually started off as a buck toothed bumb but somehow evolved into a thief who doesn't know what he's getting himself into.

Put Your Dukes Up

So I've got a male and female boxer going on here.. this is quite possibly the first female i've drawin without any refrences that I'm content with for the time being.
Oh and sorry about the lack of legs.. sorta drew her at the bottom of the page so thats life.. but chances are i'll do a few more drawing of this chick in the near future (or so I say) in which case she'll have legs that don't get cut off above the knee caps.

Ya so these are a few sketches I've done today keeping a gangster theme on mind.

"Samson" the Farmer

Well I was just flicking through the channels trying to get some ideas of a possible character to design when I came across some western movie with an old lookin guy on a train in one of the scenes. Anyways he was by no means a farmer but his face had all the characteristics of one and thats how it all sort of fell into place.

Character Creation

Well I started creating a new character this evening.. so far this is what i've come up with.

Yes I know he's missing his manly hood but thats all right for the time being. he'll get some clothing soon enough.

ps. i do have a front and side view but those are downstairs so i wont be posting those at the given moment.
